Operation Climate Control Help for Teachers
Need help setting up a game?
If you are teacher and need a bit of help getting Operation: Climate Control up and running for your class, this is the place to start. You might also find the answers to frequently asked questions helpful (here) as that lists the requirements for playing Operation: Climate Control and where you can get hold of the Adobe Flash player.

Starting a new game
Each scenario takes approximately 20 minutes to play through. To start a new session of Operation: Climate Control you need to go through the following steps:
- Go to "Create A Game"
- Select the scenario you would like your students to try. You can choose from "Land Transport" and "National Energy".
- Enter a password for your students to use. Make it simple and short (minimum of 6 characters long), for example "class212" as you will need to tell them to enter this when they start the game. This is to ensure they join your game of Operation: Climate Control.
- Press the "Create Game" button.
- The game will now give you information similar to this:

- Send your students to the web address listed, for example "http://www.operationclimatecontrol.co.uk/play/116". Don't forget to tell them the password you chose!
- Your students will have to enter the password you choose earlier, and once they have done so they are asked to complete a short evaluation survey before the game starts. No personally identifiable information is collected by the survey. It is for game evaluation only.
- When they have completed the game scenario, their scores will be saved and the game is complete.
- You can begin the process listed here again to try out the different scenarios
- While the game is running if you keep the supervisor page open you will be able to see who has logged in, what characters they are playing and most importantly, their scores!
